My strength

DSC06643Many of times I am exhausted

Tired of the road I walked

My shoes have worn out

My clothes grown old

To make matters worse

I hear the accuser whisper

“You can’t go on give up

Why let yourself bother?”

But I had forgotten something

God didn’t rest till He finished creation

Nor we He rest till He finished mine

I know what He started

He will bring to completion

Its true Mr accuser

I am incapable and weak

It’s true my inadequacy is clear

Yet I have the One who is so dear

Helping me overcome my fear

Through Him I can do all things

For my life is not mine but His

My maker and Potter He is

So I rest in my Prince of Peace.

Counting my blessings

DSC07390I am counting my blessings today

All the great things God sent my way

I am so greatful dear LORD

For giving me Yourself, the source of all good

Thank You Father for loving parents

And brothers that care

Thank You for wonderful friends

That never ceise, my burdens to share

For their words of wisdom

That filled my hunger

And their encouragement

That quenched my thirst

I am blessed with eyes to see

The beauty of spring and summer

The colours of autumn

And snow fall of winter

Ears to hear the pure streaming water

And birds singing

Songs of praise to their Creator

For the beautiful day ahead

Father I am thankful today

For evey little and big blessing

I am counting them today

And they are innumerable

Thank You Father

For the countless mercies and grace!

Humble

The difference between me and a prostitute or a thief is that their struggles are more obvious than the Christian, but in reality I am in need of God’s grace as much as they are. And until we recognize that we will be like the self-righteous, proud Pharisees. Never look down on someone, because God had every right to look down on us, but instead He humbled Himself and became one of us, even lowered to the point where we looked down on Him and spat on His innocent face. Oh the depth of God’s love and grace!

“All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.” – Isaiah.64:6

“”God opposes the proud, but shows favor to the humble.”

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.” – 1Peter.5:5b-6

Great autumn poem

Splashing Stillness

by Celine

Standing on this rock, I watch
a time less time move in with the:
splashing stillness, while the
soft, gentle cold water,
lovingly surrounds
the tiny body mass which endures the
pleasure of joy and peace.

Silently the river flows
while autumn leaves gently
fall into serenity:
the creation so beautiful,
the peacefulness so tender,
the leaves so warming
and the stress falls away
as winter arrives into
silent harmony
of joyous cries of love
for You.

The splashing stillness
has arrived at my doorstep
and no longer do I need to feel
this emptiness as
a time less time moves into
my very heart of love.
