Questions

jigsaw of life

Questions unanswered linger in my mind

They give me no rest

As I try to work it all out

When, how and why?

I think and think but I’m left with more

Questions than I have started

Showing me the weakness of my strength

The foolishness of my understanding

I can’t work it out!

Lord my heart is heavy

Confusion and clouds surround me

I need You

Lord I need You to enlighten my path

What I cannot see for my heart to trust

Though the clock ticks away

You will still my heart

Now I may see as in a mirror dimly

But then with unveiled face I will see

As to Your likeness You mould me, I’ll see

How the jigsaws of my life

Were fit for Your glory!

Prayer request- David an Angel in Heaven

Dear friends, I would like to ask you to pray for my friend today. Her brother is in a coma after 2 cars crashed into his, while he was taking his wife to hospital to deliver baby David. Baby David took the impact and died saving his mother’s life. But the whole family is in such a painful season with uncertainty of what will happen.

As a family of God I believe we should help each other in times such as this. So please take the time to write words of comfort to my friend in her blog: http://flowerpetalsfallblog.wordpress.com/ and,

Please pray:

1. for my friend, who dedicated the poem below to baby David

David an Angel in Heaven.

2. her brother’s complete healing from his one week coma (God is able)

3. His wife, for emotional and physical healing

4. and the entire family.

GOD bless!

And can it be that I should gain?

I have known this song for sometimes but only now it hit me, how deep the Divine love of Christ is

If only we could meditate the songs we sing. Especially hymns have some deep treasures hidden in them, if only we could dig a little deeper.

AND CAN IT BE (written by Charles Wesley )

And can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Savior’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain—
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

’Tis mystery all: th’Immortal dies:
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the firstborn seraph tries
To sound the depths of love divine.
’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore,
Let angel minds inquire no more.
’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;
Let angel minds inquire no more.

He left His Father’s throne above
So free, so infinite His grace—
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam’s helpless race:
’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!
’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!

Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray—
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

Still the small inward voice I hear,
That whispers all my sins forgiven;
Still the atoning blood is near,
That quenched the wrath of hostile Heaven.
I feel the life His wounds impart;
I feel the Savior in my heart.
I feel the life His wounds impart;
I feel the Savior in my heart.

No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine;
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

“Did GOD really say…?”

Often we hear God’s voice and it is so clear, in the mean time we rejoice over it and we obey it, but as time goes by, the strength of the message somehow fades by the wind and the rain that batter it. Why? Because we failed to store it in a good place.

This is what the devil said to Eve, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”- (Genesis.3:1), which eventually resulted in Eve taking the wrong move. And even now the devil uses the same deception to trip us from what we know to be true, from what God had promised.

Abraham heard God’s promise so clearly that He who swore by His name will give Him a son- Issac through whom He would make him the father of nations. Yet that same voice, “Did God really say…” caused him to miss his step and doubt God’s promise, which resulted in Ishmael.

The Children of Israel saw God’s wondrous works in the Red-sea and they failed to trust Him in the desert. “Did God really say…HE will give you meat?… He will give you water or shelter?…”

And now how many times we doubt what He had promised us, what He has shown us. “May be I was just imagining things… “Of course with time we may start to forget or doubt because its our nature. But I want to encourage us to keep those jewels God has given us in our treasure boxes, so that when those moments of doubt come and the voice of the enemy whispers in our ears, we can run to those treasures and prove him wrong. We don’t have to spend hours trying to analyse if what he said was true or not.

So, let us not make any move without GOD, for “He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.”- 1Thess.5:24 We don’t have to run after flying birds in the sky, He will provide the meat, He will provide the water, He will provide Manna.  Amen!

This song has been a real blessing to me today, and links very well with this post, so have a listen…

Creation declare His glory

Image

Isaiah.40:26

From the tiny insects to the birds across the sky,

From the breathe of trees that sway

To the thunderous roar of gusty wind

All creation declare His glory

From the quietness of night to the morning rush

From the rising of the dawning sun

To its setting in the dusk

All creation declare His glory

In our achievements and goodness

And in our time of dire needs

All our successes and failures declare His glory

His power no one can measure

His greatness none can compare

And yet the God who is the Lion and the Lamb

Declares His salvation on the open cross

 Whispers His love in the stillness of the river!
