New year, renewed hope
“Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.” – ISAIAH.43:19
Its such a blessing to look back at the end of a year and ponder on the goodness of the Lord in your life. I could definitely say that without His love, care and providence I would not have made it to 2015 with a smile on my face. Yes there were many trials and failures and weakness but what I saw more brightly than them all is how God saw me through those times and how faithful He is. It’s also a time to rekindle a flickering hope. A time to trust again that perhaps issues being long prayed for will finally be answered.
Now as we enter this new year 2015, I know that there will be a lot of changes in my life. End of one chapter (uni) and beginning of another (work). One of my biggest weaknesses is worrying. This year I want to fully trust God, not just a head knowledge of His promises but believing with all my heart that whatever I ask in His name, He will do.
And I pray the same for you dear fellow bloggers. I wish you all a blessed and peaceful new-year where you see all your prayers being answered.
PS – thank you all for the encouragements in 2014 either by commenting or by the things you write in your blogs. They are a blessing to me and others.
