Prayer= hiding place

Prayer= hiding place

Like a lion, my enemy the devil roar

Seeking whom he may devour

Trying to steal my river of peace

My life supply of the Stream

He runs to and fro around the earth

Observing the sons of God

Watching closely who may fall to his trap

Yet my God is stronger and mightier

He has made a way

A place where I can run to

My refuge and my fortress

A place like Narnia

Outside of this world

Under the shadow of His wings

Is where my soul yearns

Yes, the Father has reserved

A place of hope and rest

To the throne of His presence

Is where I choose to face

So let us be diligent

To enter this hope and rest

And fight the things that prevent

For we have a good inheritance

Through Jesus the Christ!

“8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” – 1Peter.5:8

 “5 O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You maintain my lot.
6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Yes, I have a good inheritance.

9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will rest in hope.” – Psalm.16:5,6,9

“1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”” – Psalm.91:1-2

“8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. 11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. ” – Hebrews.4:8-11

Stand firm

A post I read on facebook today…

Notice what God said to Jehoshaphat: “You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm” (2 Chron. 20:17). What does it mean to stand firm when you have a problem, when you are facing a battle, when you are having a life crisis? It is a mental attitude of quiet confidence that says, “I’m going to trust God.”

Jesus to me…

My sins for His righteousness

This poem is inspired by this blog post:

They say You were a great teacher

Who taught what He practiced

A man with real passion

To those who would listen.

They say You were a great physician

Who healed the sick and bed ridden

Without any charge or fee for Your touch

You took away all their pain.

Yet some say You were the greatest prophet

Who heard and taught the Word of God

You turned the harlot hearts to their God

That they may live according to the law.

But to me, Jesus You are more

What they didn’t realise was

That You were the Word of God

Who took the requirements of the law

And took the punishment for my sin it demand

An innocent life exchanged for my shame

Took upon Yourself all of my pain

Yes, You didn’t escape the cross

But carried it on Your shoulders

To Calvary where You gave Your life

That I may live with You forever

No one died for You

But You gave Yours for free to everyone

To those who would accept the gift of love

No sin or condemnation freedom forever

Jesus, You won the grave 3 days after

For You are God, the champion of heaven

Lord of the universe, rebuking the storm

Giving me peace and assurance of grace

For now and the life to come!

Yet another reminder of God’s faithfulness

faithful God! - results' day

Each year He has shown Himself faithful. This year wasn’t going to be any different. Though being human I doubted His power and faithfulness, nothing could change who He is, not even what I think of Him. Exam results are out and I have passed! All glory to GOD!!!

“Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.”- Psalm.34:5

Treasure hunt

DSC04699Many times I walked through the forest

And looked and searched for the best

For the gold and silver, without rest

Hastily never wanting to wait

I take this and I take that but,

Never did they satisfy the longing in my heart

They weren’t enough.

Here is the secret of treasure hunting

Don’t settle for the traces of gold on your path

There is a Box full of gems and pearls

At the end of your track

All the treasures I was looking for

Are found in that One Box

Now I need not seek and search

For I have marked my destination

With a Cross on the map of my exploration.

“For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” – 2Cor.4:6-7
