Doubt to trust

Many of times I visited this place

This place of prayer and petition

Bringing all my request and burden

As doubt and questions keep ringing

In my head till my faith is shaken

Surely I say, God has heard

But if He chooses to be silent

Let me stop visiting Him in the mount

In that secret place of seeking His heart

Let me move on with my life

When I stop seeing through His eyes

I don’t recognize how close I am

As I crawled up this hill

He indeed carried me throughout

Now let me go back and trust

For I am close to the finish line

For surely He wasn’t silent

But was laboring with me in the fight

So today I come back

Again before You I lay my heart

Before I see Your face I won’t depart

Here at Your feet I leave all my doubts

As I rise with faith in my heart.

Aside

“Humility is perfect quietness of heart, It is to expect nothing, to wonder at nothing that is done to me, to feel nothing done against me. It is to be at rest when nobody praises me, and when I am blamed or despised. It is to have a blessed home in the Lord, where I can go in and shut the door, and kneel to my Father in secret, and am at peace as in a deep sea of calmness, when all around and above is trouble.”

Humility

Open my eyes

DSC06198

Open my eyes oh God

To see Your beauty and majesty

Exalted on high in crowned in glory

Jesus saviour, please let me see

All my works and labours

Are worthless and like filthy rags

Compared to the grace

You have bestowed in my life

I may give my life and all that I have

Without You it’s all vanity of vanities

I may do all good things and keep myself pure

Without You it’s all vanity of vanities

I may do miracles and wonders in Your name

Without You it’s all vanity of vanities

For all things are vanity

Outside the source of their existence

All other lights fade away

In the light of His presence

So open my eyes oh God

To see Your beauty and majesty

Exalted on high in crowned in glory

Jesus saviour, please let me see

For when I behold Your glorious splendour

All other things fall in the right place.
