Having gone through one of the longest British winters and the ground covered in snow until mid-April, now there are rays of hope radiating finally in May, with blossoming flowers and leaves budding; we can finally say that spring is here. Everything looks beautiful and everyone waited so eagerly for the freezing and dull weather to pass so we can finally enjoy a bit of warmth and some BBQ 🙂
Nature. There was nothing we could have done to change it, we just had to pray that the winter that seemed never ending would somehow just come to an end and the long awaited summer would finally show up.
In the same way, in our lives, we know that everything has a season. And that the winter doesn’t last forever but will come to an end. Yet we get impatient, we say when is the sun coming out? We know it for sure that summer will come, but its only delayed.
“The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” – 2Peter.3:9
Let us take heart, the summer will come, a time to celebrate and rejoice. Winter is only for a season, so keep holding on, the sun is just round the corner 🙂
